About Sparks

Changing how women see themselves

Sparks NGO has been working actively in rural India, organising awareness campaigns and skill development programmes for women, since 2019. Going forward, we are focusing on our flagship programme, Sakhi.

Through Sakhi, we aim to empower young girls in small towns and rural India. Sakhi enables educated and accomplished women to virtually adopt a girl and guide her in ways that leads to her social and psychological freedom. We want to make sure that these girls are not conditioned to feel inferior, something that is quite common in small cities. We urge every empowered woman to take charge in shaping how these young girls see themselves and build a future filled with audacious women who change the world.

The Sakhi Fellowship

Supporting & empowering young girls in establishing and building their careers

Year long comprehensive programme that allows us to deeply invest in each girl's growth and the story she creates for herself. We accept 5 Fellows each year and urge you to either sign up as a Mentor for this fellowship or donate whatever you can to the Sakhi Programme.
